Steben & Company, Inc., founded in 1989, is an investment advisory firm specializing in managed futures.  Utilizing over 19 years of experience, the company provides financial advisors and institutional investors with the specialized expertise, advice and investment vehicles needed to understand, evaluate and access managed futures.  The company, which pioneered the distribution of managed futures funds through the nation’s independent contractor broker/dealers, provides individual and institutional investors with access to some of the largest and oldest futures trading advisors in the country through both public and private investment offerings. This effort has served to expand national access to and acceptance of alternative investments. 

Steben & Company, Inc. is a Maryland corporation that is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) as a commodity pool operator and an introducing broker, with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) as a broker dealer and a registered investment advisor.  Steben & Company, Inc. is a member of the National Futures Association (“NFA”) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”).

Steben & Company specializes in creating, managing and distributing managed futures funds.

Steben & Company, utilizing proprietary expertise, identifies and evaluates trading advisors throughout the world that specialize in managed futures trading.  Firms that meet the company’s rigorous screening process may be invited to manage all (single-advisor fund) or a portion (multi-advisor fund) of the assets that are raised in the funds the company offers.  In addition, the company, utilizing proprietary expertise, monitors the performance of its fund managers and actively adds, removes and changes fund allocations to managers in an attempt to optimize long-term fund performance.  In order to meet the diverse needs of our clients, Steben & Company may also represent investment funds owned and operated by third parties.
